The debate at the LSE this lunchtime went down well. Mario Petrucci, Richard Tyrone Jones and I were talking about the relationship between literature (mainly poetry) and science and the social sciences. A pretty wide-ranging discussion and a surprising degree of agreement. And a substantial and responsive audience.
Chaired by Simon Jenner, also a poet, so you can imagine we got stuck into the matter with some enthusiasm.
Afterwards in the Green Room our discussion continued, taking in a critical appraisal of the current poetry scene. I bet you wish you’d heard that.
Thanks to everyone who took part, attended and organised.
