A reading of Blunden’s countryside sketch, ‘The Sigh’.

Best known for his Great War memoir, Undertones of War, Blunden was a prolific writer and eventually became Professor of Poetry at Oxford.

‘The Sigh’ is a sketch taken from a collection entitled The Face of England, originally published in 1932.
